KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 20, 2016:
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad will provide round-the-clock KTM Komuter services for four days from Jan 22 in conjunction with Thaipusam on Sunday.
KTM Berhad said in a statement today that these 953 additional services would be provided on the Batu Caves-Seremban and Rawang-Port Klang routes.
It said the KTM Komuter services would be provided after the operation hours of the existing services, that is from midnight to 5.30am at 60-minute intervals on Jan 22 and 23.
The frequency would be increased to every 20 minutes on Jan 24 and 25, it added.
“These services are being provided to facilitate the transportation of Hindu devotees and tourists to Batu Caves for the festival,” it said.
Also for the first time, KTM Berhad will provide an additional 48 KTM Komuter services from Jan 22 to 24 on the Kamunting, Gurun and Padang Besar to Butterworth routes, it said.
KTM Berhad advised commuters to purchase return tickets to avoid congestion at ticket counters.
