KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19, 2016:
Former Rembau PKR chief Badrul Hisham Shahrin, also known as Chegubard, challenged Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali to take legal action against him.
Chegubard again repeated his allegations that Mohamed Azmin, who is also PKR’s deputy president, had awarded a large project without going through the open tender process.
While admitting that governments could choose not to go through the process, Chegubard said this was a betrayal of the people and PKR defacto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“Azmin Ali, as the Selangor government head, is in the wrong when he set up large projects without going through open tender process, such as the logging project which I raised recently.
“He lied to the media when he claimed it went through an open tender process because it didn’t,” claimed Chegubard.
In supporting his own allegations, he claimed there was no open tender advertisement and cited secret Selangor Government documents.
“As such, I dare Azmin Ali to take me to court. I will reveal ‘secret’ Selangor Government documents which prove there was no open tender.
“I have handed the documents, that prove Azmin lied, to the party’s Disciplinary Committee,” he added.
