One of the best happy news revolve around the charming relationship between former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad. Previously we reported that the couple was seen spending some quality time at a 3D Art Museum in Langkawi. One of the moments captured was when the couple playfully tried to ”surf” the sea waves at one of the wall arts displayed.http://www.therakyatpost.com/news/2015/01/19/tun-m-wife-explore-3d-art-langkawi/Recently, both did not want to be left out of the Star Wars frenzy when a selfie taken by a movie-goer showed the happy couple sitting comfortably at a cinema in Sunway, to catch the latest instalment of the movie series, The Force Awakens.http://www.therakyatpost.com/viral/2015/12/23/former-pm-a-surprise-at-star-wars-screening/2. Sitting for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysian (SPM) examination can be dreadful and many wish to just go through it once in a lifetime. But not for 60-year-old Chong Sing Woh, a retired civil servant from Ipoh, who will never back down from failure as he attended the exam and took it for the sixth time this year.http://www.therakyatpost.com/viral/2015/11/02/retired-civil-servant-60-sits-spm-for-sixth-time/3. Another story that fit our top 10 best happy moments in 2015 is the story about ninjas spreading love in the streets of Kuching, Sarawak. The story centred around a five-minute video clip titled: Ninjas Strike Kuching, Sarawak! #NinjaLove which was posted on YouTube, showing a group of dressed as ninjas, handing roses to the public as a gesture of love.http://www.therakyatpost.com/viral/2015/08/20/ninjas-spread-love-in-kuching/4. Another heartwarming story would be about two unnamed Muslim girls who made Internet sensation when netizens applauded them for rescuing a litter of new born puppies. The picture of the two girls sitting in a car feeding the pups quickly went viral and touched many hearts.http://www.therakyatpost.com/viral/2015/08/21/hijab-wearing-girls-commended-for-feeding-pups/5. With the current economic crisis along with the increase in public transportation fares, free bus rides is definitely a music to everyone’s ears. Earlier this month The Rakyat Post reported a story about positive response on the free shuttle bus service called Go-KL.http://www.therakyatpost.com/news/2015/12/20/go-kl-bus-service-a-boon-to-city-commuters/7. Living in a multi-racial and multi-religious country can be tough sometimes when some irresponsible parties continue to incite racial tension. However a video of three university students donning blindfolds while holding placards stating “I’m Malaysian First” went viral and touched the hearts of many Malaysians. It was said that they were conducting a social experiment, calling out for any passers-by to give hugs or high fives if they agree with the statement.http://www.therakyatpost.com/viral/2015/09/25/blind-love-in-kl/8.Football unity

For this part, some will agree that it deserves to be in the top happy news while others would probably not share the same sentiment. But who can forget the day Selangor’s Red Giants’ football squad emerging as the victors at the 2015 Malaysia Cup after beating Kedah 2-0, earlier this month. It was a painful loss for Kedah fans but for Malaysians especially those in Selangor were thankful for the win as Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali announced a public holiday in conjunction with the win.http://www.therakyatpost.com/news/2015/12/12/selangor-wins-2015-malaysia-cup-final/9. In the wake of racial tension among Malaysians especially after the Low Yat brawl, some of us are still determined to show that this country is still united despite the differences. For example the story of two women with unique names — Malaysia Rani and Tun Malaysia Venecia Zaman Riera — that serves as a reminder to all about the unity and sense of pride that we have as Malaysian.http://www.therakyatpost.com/viral/2015/09/11/is-your-name-malaysia/10. Superstar Rajinikanth caused quite a stir when he arrived at the KL International Airport (KLIA) for the purpose of shooting his latest movie Kabali’ While the superstar alone was enough to cause havoc among his die-hard fans, the fact that he was bundled into a Hello Kitty limousine at the airport, created about as much a buzz on social media as his arrival itself. The limousine fiasco, while it did baffle fans, did not dampen their spirits in welcoming the mega star to the country. Where ever he went after that, resulted in large groups gathering at the location, hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite actor.http://www.therakyatpost.com/life/entertainment-life/2015/10/30/the-limousine-fiasco-doesnt-reflect-well-on-malaysia-ravi-maraz/http://www.therakyatpost.com/news/2015/10/26/rajinikanth-arrives-in-malaysia-social-media-goes-crazy/11. We saved the best for last. Despite the tragic loss Malaysians endure when beloved royal, Tunku Laksamana Johor, Tunku Abdul Jalil Sultan Ibrahim passed away early this month, one incident will always warm the hearts of many and is sure to keep him in the hearts and minds of those who love him. As we know, the late Tunku Abdul Jalil was diagnosed with cancer and was bound to countless hospital stays. One particular video featuring the prince startling a matron by jumping on her cheekily, went viral and endeared the prince even more to social media users. His antics invited a lot of reactions and many considered him as very humble and sporting.http://www.therakyatpost.com/viral/2015/02/05/tunku-jalil-shock-nurse-video/Malaysians were definitely amused with Tunku Abdul Jalil’s spontaneous humor and that story wraps up this year’s top happy memories which put a smile on our faces when we reported it, and hopefully will put a smile on your faces too as we take you down memory lane.
