KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17, 2015:
Seputeh MP Teresa Kok has called on the police to take action against her former party members Tony Tan and Yap Guan Ming for organising a protest outside her office earlier this morning.
She said she was disappointed that the authorities had yet to take action against the duo who she claimed had been making unfounded allegations against her.
This morning, the two and dozens of others staged a protest bearing a coffin outside her office.
They called on the DAP politician to disclose the whereabouts of RM300,000 which they alleged had apparently been donated to the party.
“Will the police keep quiet if they do it outside a BN MP’ s office if a report was lodged preemptively?
“I strongly believe that Tony Tan and his gang must have had the blessings of my political foes.
“Their primary aim was to disturb me and other DAP leaders from time to time.
“This shows the abject desperation of Barisan Nasional,” she said in a posting on Facebook today.
In Chinese language, she said the phonics of the word “coffin” meant “promotion to a higher level and financial prosperity” and so she considered their action as a blessing from Barisan Nasional.
“I took legal advice from my lawyer, Mr Sankara Nair, who said their act is an offence under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.
“I urge the police to investigate and prosecute them.”
