MALACCA, Dec 10, 2015:

The Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar confirmed that a special police investigative team would interview former PetroSaudi executive Xavier Andre Justo in Bangkok next Tuesday.

According to The Star Online, the Federal police and their Thai counterparts gave the green light in finalising the arrangement to interview Justo.

The IGP also told the press that Bukit Aman CID deputy director (investigation and law) Datuk Amar Singh will lead the team to Bangkok.

“The team will be sent to Bangkok to personally interview Justo,” he said, as reported by the news portal today.

Justo, 49, was arrested in June for attempting to blackmail his former employer.

In August this year, the Swiss national was sentenced to three years’ in jail for attempting to blackmail his former employer PetroSaudi International Ltd.

His lawyer, Worrasit Piriyawiboon filed an appeal against the conviction two days before the appeal period expired.
