KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 14, 2015:
Fights from Kuala Lumpur to Paris or from Paris to Kuala Lumpur have not been cancelled or postponed following the terrorist attacks in France.
A spokesman for Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) confirmed this when contacted by The Post Rakyat.
“As of now, there is no information regarding the cancellation of flights to or from Paris in our system.
“However, MAHB asks that people obtain further information from the respective airlines,” he said.
In the meantime, a spokesman for Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) said there were no cancellation or delay by the airline for flights to Paris today or tomorrow.
“As far as we know, flights are scheduled as usual and there are no signs of the airport in Paris shutting down operations,” the spokesman explained.
At least 158 people have been killed in France as terrorists attacks took place in Paris today, including shots fired at a concert hall and a restaurant, as well as explosions near the main sports stadium in the country.
According to Reuters, the shootings and explosions were apparently coordinated and came when France was in a state of alert in the face of possible terrorist attacks as a global climate conference is to be held there this month.
France is a founding member of the coalition led by the United States (US), which is launching air strikes against fighters of ISIS in Syria.
