BENTONG, Nov 12, 2015:

The actual cause of the landslide at Km52.4 Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway yesterday is expected to be known at the latest in another two weeks.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadhillah Yusof said the report on the incident would be prepared by a team of experts after they had completed a detailed investigation regarding the incident.

“Let’s wait for our experts to finish their investigation. It involves an area running 2km into the forest. So it may take up to two weeks to prepare the documentation,” he told reporters after monitoring the cleaning-up operation at the scene before making an aerial survey today.

The landslide near Lentang-Bukit Tinggi yesterday had caused traffic to be brought to a standstill, but no casualty or injury was reported.

Work to clear up debris and mud off the expressway is still ongoing and all motorists have been asked to use alternative roads.
