KOTA BARU, Oct 29, 2015:
Orang Asli student Norieen Yaakub, 10, found 48 days after she went missing in Pos Tohoi, Gua Musang, was allowed to leave the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital this afternoon.
However, her friend Miksudiar Aluj, 11, is still being treated in the hospital for heart complications.
Norieen, who was accompanied by her family, was sent to Gua Musang via an Orang Asli Development Department (Jakoa) vehicle.
Kelantan Jakoa director Nik Man Nik Ya said the student was also accompanied by four of the department’s employees.
Norieen and her family will then head for Kampung Penad the next day.
“The victim’s mother, Midah Angah, 40, is waiting for her daughter’s return to the village, after attending a funeral of another child of hers, Haikal.”
On Aug 23, seven Orang Asli students ran into the jungle after fearing disciplinary action from the school for bathing in a river.
Another victim, Sasa Sobrie, has yet to be found and the search and rescue operation is still under way.
