KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13, 2015:

Parti Amanah Negara today stated that they would accept PAS or any other party into the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition.

Its secretary-general, Anuar Tahir, said members of PH were based on a consensus.

“This is just like a marriage. Everything works like a consensus.

“We will surely accept any political party into the coalition if it gets the nod of approval from other parties within the coalition,” he said at Wisma Amanah Negara, off Jalan Ipoh, here today.

Anuar also announced some new key appointments into the party. He said Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad will be Amanah’s communication chief, Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad the new strategic chief and Kuala Krai MP Dr Mohd Hatta Ramli the party’s election chairman. “We also elected former singer Wan Aishah Wan Ariffin, a well known artist, as a national committee member.” he said. Anuar said Amanah was also aiming to open at least 500 pro-tem committee branches nationwide. He said among other Amanah initiatives was to to make Fridays as Tanwir day (enlightenment day). “During this day we will encourage educational activities, religious studies and religious comparisons. “As you know our members are not just Muslim but also non-Muslims. So we will also support inter-religious dialogue. “Even though we are a Islamic party with Islamic objectives but it is Islam that will bring grace (rahmat) to all races and religions.” Anuar said Amanah will try to encourage all parties within PH to contest under one logo during the next General Election. “I do know that all the parties love their logos but I do feel this time around the three parties are more united to contest under one logo.” Anuar said the party are currently processing 50,000 applications at the moment, and are confident to hit 100,000 members by end of December. Amanah held the press conference to mark their 40-day in politics. Watch “Amanah welcomes PAS into Pakatan Harapan” on YouTube – https://youtu.be/W9zoslEtG0w
