SABAK BERNAM, Sept 25, 2015:
The Selangor government’s cooperation with the yet to be registered Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) involves only politics and not the state’s administration.
Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali said the government will stick to the existing state administration until the expiry of its term (next General Election).
“We work with all parties and individuals who are committed to the reform agenda (of the Opposition).
“Pakatan Harapan (Coalition of New Hope) was on set up after the Selangor state government was established… the existing state government will continue with its duties until the expiry of its term,” he told reporters after attending the ‘Korban Perdana’ programme in conjunction with Aidiladha celebrations here today.
Pakatan Harapan, the new Opposition alliance launched on Tuesday, has brought together PKR, DAP and Amanah, a PAS splinter group.
The current government in the state known as the Pakatan Rakyat government is made up of PKR, DAP and PAS.
Amanah was mooted after some PAS leaders had a major fall out with the party’s top leadership.
