KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 17, 2015:
National Silat Federation (Pesaka), which organised the red shirt rally said it had no problem settling the RM38,000 clean-up bill they had been given by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
Umno’s Datuk Jamal Yunos said the matter had been agreed upon by the organisers before the rally was held.
“Pesaka had discussed with DBKL and informed it that Pesaka does not have a problem to settle the bill. We will pay up.
“We are gentlemen. If there is a bill sent to the organisers, we will settle it. This is called being responsible,” the Umno Sungai Besar chief said at a Press conference at PWTC today.
Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Rahman Dahlan tweeted today that the organisers of the Red Rally could expect a bill of only RM38,000.
Jamal said the red shirt rally organisers were not like Bersih 4 organisers who were being irresponsible by not settling the clean-up bill sent to them.
The electoral reform group was handed a bill of RM68,000.
