KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11, 2015:

You can soon have online orders delivered to a 7-Eleven store nearby rather than to your home or offices, following a partnership inked between the 24-hour store franchise and BOXiT Holdings Sdn Bhd.

The partnership will see BOXit install up to 500 parcel locker machines across 7-Eleven’s network of outlets throughout the country within 24 months.

In a statement, 7-Eleven Malaysia chief executive officer Gary Brown explained that the locker’s compartments come in various compartments and sizes, and are controlled electronically and are typically opened with an SMS pin code sent to the recipients.

“Given their extensive and incomparable network coverage all across Malaysia, 7-Eleven retail outlets are therefore an ideal drop-off and pick-up spot for consumers who are always on-the-go and often not at home.”

There are now over 1,850 7-Eleven outlets nationwide.
