KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19, 2015:
Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar chided Barisan Nasional’s strategic director Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan for being a “theoretical” man after he denied knowing about a charge sheet against the Prime Minister.
“I did expect a little bit more from our Cabinet ministers, how can one respond to his denial that it was theories?
“I think that it is crucial that the authorities take necessary action to investigate the matter further because you don’t just have flippant statements being made on matters that involved the Prime Minister himself.
“It is a serious matter as you had the newly minted Attorney-General stating that the charge sheet was fake and now suddenly he (Rahman) is talking about assumptions, Freudian slips and theories,” she said at a press conference in the PKR headquarters.
She said Rahman must be investigated as the matter needs to be solved.
“We need to get to the bottom of the matter. I can show you a list of statements whether theoretical or a source of inspiration by the opposition that have been used speedily against us by the authorities.
“When you talk about such a matter, we must investigate it seriously.
“Was the charge sheet real, if so who was lying?”
This was said in response to the Barisan Nasional (BN) strategic communications director’s recent denial that he admitted to the existence of a charge sheet against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The Umno minister said when he made the statement he was actually referring to his interview with The Star two days ago, about conspiracy theories.
He alleged that his interview was twisted by DAP.
