Her come back followed months of persuasion by the magazine’s editors to convince the glamorous septuagenarian to step in front of the lens once again, according to a report in the news.com.au. On ageing, something she has clearly given considerable thought to, she said, “women’s attitudes to getting older have changed enormously. “Women have got in their head now that they are not going to age before their time. They don’t want to wear grandma cardigans, they don’t want to wear grandma cosmetics – the whole pink lippy and the blue eyeshadow. “All that has shifted, thankfully, and they can be anything they want to be. And that’s a wonderful freedom,” she said in the report. It is the first shoot Tabberer has done in a decade and the former model declares it will be her last, agreeing to it only “because it’s The Weekly, and I have a deep affection for the magazine … This is the last shoot I will ever do.” Read more:http://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/celebrity/private-sydney/maggie-tabberer-coerced-out-of-retirement-for-the-australian-womens-weekly-20150819-gj2z37.html
