KUALA LUMPUR, July 8, 2015:
Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) is encouraging revellers to go cashless during the upcoming Hari Raya Puasa revelries with two e-Duit Raya options.
The first is an electronic cash transfer via Internet banking portal Maybank2U – essentially a fund transfer to any Malaysian mobile phone number.
The e-Duit Raya recipient will receive a secure code via SMS – which can then be used for cardless withdrawal at any Maybank ATM.
The second option is the Maybank Raya Gift Card – a prepaid Visa card which can be loaded amounts from RM50 to RM1,500.
This prepaid card is available from the Maybank card centres in 1Utama mall, The Gardens mall and Maybank KL Main branch.
For those who still prefer cash, Maybank has loaded new RM10 notes in ATMs at 16 branches nationwide.
Branches in Klang Valley that offer withdrawal of the new RM10 notes include Maybank KL Main, Bangsar Baru, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya Main and Shah Alam Main.
Other branches are Maybank Penang main, Alor Setar, Kuantan main, Jalan Sultan Idris Shah, Seremban, Malacca, main, Johor Bahru main, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Baru, Kota Kinabalu and Jalan TAR Kuching branch.
These ATMs only dispense new RM10 notes, enabling customers to skip the visit to branches and each transaction for the new notes is limited to RM300 per withdrawal.
