KUALA LUMPUR, June 1, 2015:Three teenage high school students have been arrested to facilitate investigation after their 16-year-old dorm mate was beaten for allegedly having ratted on the three students.
The incident happened when the form four student of a vocational college in Bentong was called into his friend’s room at 12.45pm on Friday. There, the suspects asked if he had told a teacher about their act of breaking a wardrobe in the dorm. They then asked him to turn with his back facing them before they proceeded to kick the victim, causing him to knock his head against a wall. According to Bentong police chief Superintendent Mohamad Nor Mansor, the suspects continued punching and kicking the victim, resulting in him suffering cuts and bruises on his back and ear. When they were done, they left the victim to tend to his own wounds. The victim then went for Friday’s prayers and took a bus back to his house where he told his father about what had happened. “His father took him to make a police report at Kajang police station and thereafter, to Kajang Hospital for medical treatment,” said Nor Mansor. The police, after obtaining information on the three suspects aged between 15 and 16, contacted their parents who surrendered them to the cops. “The suspects are now in our custody while we request for remand. They will be investigated under Section 147 Penal Code for rioting,” added Nor Mansor.
