It almost feels as if there is a world domination in progress, tricking humans to fall prey to this cheesy-sugary combo. How can one not drool at the sight of melted cheese and glittery sugar topping the freshly-made crispy golden banana fritter?

This stall, run by ambitious youngsters has been very successful thanks to the social media, artists who flock their stall and the major amount of cheese they pour onto their banana fritters. Located near Tune Hotel in Sunway Giza on Persiaran Mahogani, the modest stall offers various flavours from plain cheese to blueberry and strawberry cheese. Definitely generous with their cheese offerings.
Tips: Look for the first stall on Persiaran Mahogani, don’t miss it!

The Pisang Cheese
This popular place near Restoran Jamal Mohammed in Kelana Jaya has concrete walls and a proper kitchen instead of just an outdoor tent. A measurement of this outlet’s popularity is evident in the fifty to eighty banana bunches selling out within the day! Another interesting part about this outlet is their delivery service. They have original, chocolate, white chocolate, caramel, cinnamon, coffee flavour to offers and even allow a mix of 4 different flavours. They’re even active on Instagram and that shows how personal touch is always important when it comes to business.
Tips: They’re usually sold out by 5 or 6pm
Things to expect: Very thinly sliced bananas. Actually, when it comes to Pisang Goreng, the thinner it is, the better.
Best recommended (with): A cup of good old Teh Tarik or hot tea.

This family-owned business has been operating for 15 years but only started selling the cheesy flavour since last year. Their plus point is the bananas, which are especially sourced from Gua Musang, Kelantan. The store only uses two types of bananas for business; pisang abu and pisang nangka. Attention to detail and quality control runs strongly in this family as they check the insides of the banana and only fry the really good ones.
Things to expect: More than just cheesy bananas. They also sell fried sweet potatoes, keropok lekor and fried soycake or tempe.

Pisang Cheese Jakarta
While Jakarta may be the birthplace of this delicacy, the owner Uncle Ahmad Lim is 100% Malaysian. This outlet has some of the weirdest concoctions of banana fritter recipes including Mandarin Melted Cheese served with thin slices of mandarin oranges that has rave reviews on Facebook. They even have crunchy Oreos and the masses favourite is Messy Chocolate. The banana fritters here are smoother in texture and are less jagged like most bananas so they taste very much like their Indonesian counterpart. The recipes are probably proven good as Pisang Cheese Jakarta has more than 5 outlets all over Klang Valley.
Tips: They’re planning on releasing Pisang Penyet and Pisang Cheese Bakar to the public, so keep your ears and eyes peeled.

Din Pisang Goreng Cheese
Shaved cheese alongside brown sugar and condensed milk on hot banana fritters is one of their best-selling crispy-creamy combo. The owner, a young man named Din says they sell 140kg of bananas every single day. A big feat for small stall by the roadside. Unlike the others Din Pisang Goreng Cheese stays true to the original recipe without any chocolatey, sugary or whacky flavours. Judging from the long queues, the formula works just as well.
Tips: Go early or you might end up at the back of a snaking queue
