PUTRAJAYA, Sept 12, 2014:
Several individuals have been identified over the leaked Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) papers, Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said.
The Second Education Minister also revealed that the police had identified four “hot spots”, although he could not reveal anything just yet.
“Until the investigation is complete, we can’t speculate on the matter,” he said at a press conference in Putrajaya
Idris added that he was pleased that both the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) were already making grounds on the incident.
The UPSR Science examination, which was scheduled for Sept 11, was postponed following leaks of three examination papers on Wednesday.
Yesterday, it was found that the UPSR English Papers 1 and 2 were also found to have been leaked, causing an uproar among the public on the consecutive incidences.
Both papers, which affected some 470,000 students, have been rescheduled to take place on Sept 30.
It was reported today that police were investigating the matter under Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act, while the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission said it was ready to assist if elements of corruption were involved.
