A common feature during the fasting month, the Ramadan bazaar is a compulsory site for those hunting for cheap, home cooked food and Malay delicacies.

The bazaar, which is Arabic for market, is also a favourite spot for busy people who have no time to prepare meals for breaking fast.

With various dishes, traditional cakes and beverages sold, the Ramadan bazaar is very similar to the popular night markets, which is commonly referred to as “pasar malam”, found nationwide.
