PUTRAJAYA, June 30:
Datuk Wee Ka Siong said his scope of duties as a minister in the Prime Minister’s Department had yet to be decided, but will be known soon.
“I am still waiting for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s directive on my job scope.
“Probably in the next few days I will get a further directive,” he said after starting his duties as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department at his temporary office in Menara Usahawan here today.
Wee, who is also MCA deputy president, said no matter what job scope was given, he would respond to the challenges and implement them well for the sake of the people and country.
Last Wednesday, Najib announced three full ministers and three deputy ministers from Barisan Nasional (BN) component party leaders of MCA and Gerakan in his Cabinet line-up.
Apart from Wee, also appointed as full ministers were MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai as Transport Minister and Gerakan president Datuk Mah Siew Keong as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.
