KUALA LUMPUR, June 11:
Cops have nabbed the man suspected of killing his sister-in-law at a budget hotel.
It was reported yesterday that a 22-year-old woman was found dead and naked at the hotel in Kelana Jaya yesterday.
According toBernamalast night, the victim checked into the hotel with a man who later disappeared.
Meanwhile,The Star Onlinesaid the man, believed to be the victim’s brother-in-law was nabbed at a public toilet near the market in Teluk Intan after a botched suicide attempt.
The newsportal quoted Hilir Perak district police chief Assistant Commissioner Goh Kok Liang as saying that cops believed the man had attempted to kill himself due to the stress and guilt of killing his sister-in-law.
The suspect is reportedly in stable condition and receiving treatment at the Teluk Intan hospital.
The newsportal yesterday had also reported that the suspect was believed to have been involved in an affair with his sister-in-law.
The discovery of the body was made after the suspect allegedly called his wife to confess about the killing, apart from telling his wife of his intention to end his life.
Petaling Jaya deputy district police chief Superintendent Fadil Marsus said the victim’s neck showed signs of bruising and cops believed the cause of death could have been strangulation.
