Foreign Ministry confirms Malaysian student killed in London train accident

KOTA KINABALU, Jan 27, 2016:

The Foreign Affairs Ministry today confirmed the death of a Malaysian student who was killed in a train accident in London two days ago.

Identified as Muhamad Aaron Maseri, 22, the remains of the final year student of Middlemen University London’s is currently at the Westminster public mortuary for a post-mortem.

In expressing condolences to his family, the ministry and Malaysian High Commission in London disclosed in a statement that they would be assisting in bringing the victim’s body home soon.

It was reported that Muhamad Aaron died after he was hit by an underground (tube) train in London near the Marble Arch station at 6.20pm on Jan 25.

The news of the accident was published by several UK based portals, but there was no mention of the identity of the victim.

Last week, three Malaysian students died in an accident in Jordan, while another in France passed away following injuries sustained in a skiing accident in Nice.
