KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21, 2015:

DAP would regret losing Lim Kit Siang (Gelang Patah-DAP) for six months should the motion to suspend him goes through.

“It is a crucial time for him to be in Parliament. We will see how it goes,” said a senior DAP leader who requested anonymity.

Lim is expected to arrive at Parliament at 3.30pm.

“It would not look so good for BN MPs if the motion goes through. It was just Lim speaking his mind over a matter and he should not be removed from Parliament for that. I have told this to BN MPs.”

Lim was said to have accused Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia of misusing his powers, and did not apologise over the matter when asked to.

Lim, on Monday, allegedly blamed Pandikar of sabotaging the current investigations into the national sovereign fund 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

It is widely speculated that Lim will not apologise for his statement and if the motion was passed he could be booted out of Parliament for at least six months.
