KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24, 2015:
Red shirt rally front-man Datuk Jamal Md Yunos could be a Trojan Horse designed to trap Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak through a racially charged political design
MCA Religious Harmony Bureau chairman Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker said if Jamal is not a Trojan Horse, Jamal could also be a “political nut case” or an opportunist out to create anarchy to bring the Prime Minister down.
He said the Sungai Besar Umno division chief might feel this was necessary after all attempts of forcing Najib out of office had failed.
“The last recourse will be to create a riot or anarchy to show that the government of the day has lost control.
“Jamal is either a racist or he’s conveniently spewing racial hatred against the Chinese knowing that they are politically disorganised and an easy political target.
“The Chinese must realise that there are still a big pool of racist in Malaysia and they do not have a political umbrella big enough to shield or shelter them from harm,” ” he told The Rakyat Post.
Historically, the former assemblyman pointed out, the Umno president is entrenched from within the party and it is difficult to dislocate while in office.
In fact, Ti noted, no Prime Minister had been removed via an Umno uprising.
He said first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman was forced to step down via the 1969 May 13th racial riots.
“His downfall was orchestrated by forces who had wanted him out.
“Fifth Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Badawi was forced to step down after failing to obtain a 2/3 majority, upon calls by longest serving Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.”
He said today all attempts, tricks and lies had been used to force Najib to quit.
“For the first time, the foreign press have been openly engaged and used as a bazooka to force his resignation.”
He said the Chinese had been a political collateral damage following the battle between two significant entities.
“MCA today is indeed weak politically, although we have a big organisation and resources, but the stark reality is we no longer command the political muscle after being abandoned by the Chinese and yet the Chinese expect MCA to resolve all their political woes, complains or dilemma. How do we do so without political empowerment?”
The red shirt rally, which took place on Sept 16, was deemed racist by several quarters due to slurs uttered during the gathering, which was also known as Himpunan Maruah Melayu or Himpunan Rakyat Bersatu.
