KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19, 2015:

Malaysia’s iconic singer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin mesmerised the audience with her flawless performance of a Tamil song during the opening of the International Superstar 2015 which was held in Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) recently.

The song entitled Nenjae Ezhu was composed by Oscar-winning Hollywood and Bollywood composer A.R. Rahman.

In the 5.53 minute video uploaded on YouTube by user Firdaus Ishak, broadcasted by Astro, Siti looked stunning in a white “hijab” and dress, surrounded by dancers.

She started off by singing the song in Bahasa Malaysia but received a huge round of applause the moment she began singing the song in Tamil.

The performance was heated up even further by local duos, Goldkartz as well as Fuying and Sam.

Siti Nurhaliza’s performance received remarkable comments from netizens.

YouTube commenter WINNER wrote: “Just like the song sound very harmony… I’m hoping between races it should be too ~ Peacefully… I love all races… because we are Malaysia ~ we are ONE”.

Another netizen, xxxleekim xxxlknf said: “Well done Siti. She managed to pronounce the words clearly… (Thumbs up).”

International Superstar 2015 is an Indian international singing competition with international participants from Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritus, India and Canada.

The video has been viewed more than 42,000 times.

Siti Nurhaliza had previously uploaded on Instagram recordings of her practising songs in Tamil.
