KUALA LUMPUR, May 15, 2015:
Comfort, luxury and spacious vehicles will soon be a common sight at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, as transport concessionaire Airport Limo (M) embarks on a RM14 million plan to upgrade taxi for travellers.
The move was part of the company’s plans to enhance service quality for passengers and to complement Malaysia Airport Berhads effort to turn KLIA into an excellent international airport.
“The company has placed orders for 100 Toyota Alphard, Vellfire and Mercedes Benz and this deal has been put in place with Tokyo based companies – I.M Jihan Co. Ltd and VT Holding Co. Ltd,” Airport Limo (M) Sdn Bhd corporate planning director Datuk Zainal Abidin Datuk Abdul Majid said in a statement.
“This order will complement the 33 Mercedes Benz E 240 presently in operation at KLIA.”
Meanwhile, I. M. Jihan managing director Steven Ozeki and VT Holding Co Ltd director Ito Masahide said delivery of the vehicles would commence in stages in the third quarter of this year.
Besides this ALM, had installed digital visual screens at the airport taxi ticketing counters which would display fares and other information for passengers.
