KUALA LUMPUR, July 2, 2015:
PLUS Malaysia Bhd is working with Petron Malaysia on the mobile workshop service “Workshop on Wheels” (WOW).
Through the agreement, the petroleum company is the official fuel sponsor to the WOW team for six months.
PLUS chief operating officer Mohammad Fuad Khusairi said the joint-venture could result in a drop in cheating cases by tow truck operators experienced by highway users previously.
“We have received much information and complaints from highway users who were victims of cheating by tow truck companies and car repair workshops when their vehicles broke down and were stranded on the highways.
“This collaboration is crucial because it proves Petron’s determination to be together with PLUS to curb cheating by tow truck operators and greedy and irresponsible workshops owners,” said after the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation yesterday.
Mohammad Fuad said the 24-hour service covered strategic locations on highways handled by PLUS, namely, PLUS Expressway, Butterworth-Kulim Expressway and Second Link Expressway.
